ThingWorx war das Unternehmen, das die Kategorie der industriellen IoT-Anwendungsplattformen geschaffen hat, und war wohl das erfolgreichste Start-up im IIoT-Bereich, da es Anfang 2014 von PTC \u00fcbernommen wurde. Die \u00dcbernahme von ThingWorx war die erste, nicht notleidende \u00dcbernahme in diesem Bereich Dies f\u00fchrte direkt zu einer Welle von \u00dcbernahmen, die die IIoT-Landschaft ver\u00e4ndert haben.<\/p>\r\n<p>Vor der Gr\u00fcndung von Augmentir habe ich mich ziemlich tief mit der Marktforschung von Enterprise AR befasst und festgestellt, dass es mich an den fr\u00fchen IIoT-Raum erinnert \u2013 fragmentiert mit vielen Unternehmen, die Nischen besetzen:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Benutzerdefinierte L\u00f6sungsersteller rund um Smart Glasses<\/li>\r\n<li>Vertikale L\u00f6sungsersteller<\/li>\r\n<li>Smart Glass-Anbieter<\/li>\r\n<li>Technologieanbieter<\/li>\r\n<li>Und mehr<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gartner.com\/en\/documents\/3874883\">Gartners<\/a> Die j\u00fcngste Ver\u00f6ffentlichung des IIoT \u201eMagic Quadrant\u201c war sowohl best\u00e4tigend als auch entt\u00e4uschend. F\u00fcr mich pers\u00f6nlich war es eine Best\u00e4tigung, dass ThingWorx unter der F\u00fchrung von Jim Heppelmann, CEO von PTC, die \u201eMost Magic\u201c-Position im IIoT-Bereich einnimmt. Es war jedoch entt\u00e4uschend zu sehen, dass der IIoT-Bereich nach zehn Jahren noch nicht \u201edie Kluft \u00fcberwunden\u201c hat, was daran zu erkennen ist, dass kein Anbieter im Magic Quadrant vertreten ist.<\/p>\r\n<p>Warum sollte das IIoT, ein Bereich mit so vielen \u00fcberzeugenden ROI-Geschichten, immer noch zwischen Early Adopter und Mainstream stecken bleiben? Ich habe einen Standpunkt dazu \u2013 obwohl IIoT-L\u00f6sungen \u00e4u\u00dferst wertvoll und transformativ sein k\u00f6nnen, m\u00fcssen sie einfach zu besitzen sein, um eine breite Akzeptanz zu erreichen. IIoT ist alles andere als \u201eeinfach zu besitzen\u201c: Dies beginnt mit den hohen Reibungsverlusten, traditionellen Verkaufsprozessen von Unternehmen, langen Pilotprojekten, teurer \u201ewertbasierter\u201c Preisgestaltung, langen, riskanten Implementierungszyklen und Anbieterbindung\/hohen Wechselkosten. Dies erschwert selbst gro\u00dfen Unternehmen die vollst\u00e4ndige Einf\u00fchrung, und angesichts dieser Dynamik ist es leicht zu verstehen, wie kleine und mittelst\u00e4ndische Unternehmen im Wesentlichen von den M\u00f6glichkeiten des IIoT ausgeschlossen wurden.<\/p>\r\n<p>Leider sehe ich in Enterprise AR die gleiche Dynamik, die sich entfaltet. Reibungslose Verk\u00e4ufe und POCs, kombiniert mit langen Implementierungszyklen und hohen Preisen, werden Enterprise AR in der Early-Adopter-Phase festhalten. Bereits jetzt sind die Verk\u00e4ufe von Smart Glasses f\u00fcr das Unternehmen \u00e4u\u00dferst entt\u00e4uschend, was darauf hindeutet, dass sich der Markt viel langsamer entwickelt, als Analysten prognostiziert haben.
